We process personal information to enable us to provide surveying services; maintain our own accounts and records and to support and manage our staff and contractors.

We sometimes need to share information we process with the individual themselves and other organisations and parties. Where this is necessary we are required to comply with all aspects of the Data Protection Act (DPA). We will not share any information with a third party for marketing purposes. We will only contact clients/Enquirers with regard to the service we have undertaken or has been requested.
For research purposes we hold the right to contact clients to request feedback regarding our service and process, we may use a third party to collate this material.
Information is processed for consultancy and advisory services that are offered. For this reason the information processed may include name contact details and goods and services provided.
We use CCTV for maintaining the security of property and premises and for preventing and investigating crime, it may also be used to monitor staff when carrying out work duties. For these reasons the information processed may include visual images, personal appearance and behaviours. This information may be about staff, customers and clients, offenders and suspected offenders, members of the public and those inside entering or in the immediate vicinity of the area under surveillance. Where necessary or required we may share this information with the data subjects themselves, employees and agents, service providers, police forces, security organisations and persons making an enquiry.
We do not transfer or share data outside the European Economic Area (EEA)
Should persons who we hold data for wish to view or have said data removed we have a process as follows:
Make a request to The Company Secretary and email said request to info@thecornishpropertypractice.co.uk Please request the nature of your concern and how you would like us to remedy this.
If service related we do need to hold client information and a copy of all relevant service provision given for 7 years, data will then be deleted from all software and storage facilities thereafter.
In the event of an enquiry of service we will hold this data for 6 months to enable a potential client to return to us without replicating details.
All emails and digital information is on a secured server with password protection. All hard copy data is filed and locked securely away, removal of spent data will be via shredder and disposed of.
Reports and Images are taken and saved of prospective property not belonging to the client at the time. All efforts will be made to ensure the seller keeps anonymity and we will attempt to inform the seller of our measures such as removing/obscuring photos of themselves, friends and family and named correspondence prior to taking images. The seller and/or representative may be named if present at the time of the inspection within the report, however will not have any images taken of them if this can be avoided.
Should you feel we have not handled your data in a responsible manner we are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office and you are at liberty to inform them as per the complaints procedure process found on their website https://ico.org.uk/concerns/.
